In this work Olbrich has appropriated a souvenir accordion postcard strip for this well-known area in the north eastern part of Poland called the Suwalki Lake District, which is famous for its natural beauty with lakes and waterways that are ideal for boating and kayaking.
Olbrich's stamp piece sets up a tension between seeing and not seeing this beautiful setting and would seem to question the 'touristic' gaze of the visitors to this area.
